The introduction of ethanol fuel at the pump could add as much as 8 cents per litre to the price of fuel.
Is this a cost, that the public are prepared to pay for?
Does the fuel retailer think this will be a product that won’t sell and costs them money to stock.
Have your say?
In fact the debate is clearly heating up!!! MP Peter Phelps quits over pro-ethanol legislation that ‘criminalises servo owners’.
This is his reasons why he quit.
It appears that many people, including my colleagues, think the NSW ethanol mandate is just about stocking E10. That is incorrect. 1/3

Mandate requires that 6% of all petrol sold be ethanol, not 6% of all fuel sold be E10. Given only one fuel grade contains ethanol … 2/3

… And that grade (E10) contains 10% ethanol, the only way the law can be met is if 60% of all petrol sold is E10. Go ask your local servo!
