What locations do you service?
We service trucking, freight and logistics operators across Australia through our national distributor network. Whether you’re running a metro depot, regional operation or remote site, we can help configure and deliver a fuel storage solution to suit your operation.
How much could on-site fuel storage save our fleet?
It depends on your annual fuel usage, wholesale fuel price and how often your drivers currently refuel off-site. As an example, an operator using 500,000 litres per year and saving 10 cents per litre through bulk buying could save around $50,000 a year on fuel alone. At 1,000,000 litres per year and a 15 cent saving, that rises to around $150,000, before factoring in the time and labour saved by refuelling at your depot.
Do your tanks meet Australian fuel storage requirements?
Yes. F.E.S. self-bunded tanks are designed to comply with Australian aboveground fuel storage requirements, with double-wall secondary containment built into the tank to help meet relevant Australian Standards and environmental requirements.
How much site preparation and installation work is required?
Our tanks are designed to keep site work to a minimum. Because they’re self-bunded and installed above ground, there’s generally no need for extensive underground works. Our design-and-drop approach also helps make installation and commissioning faster and simpler.
Can the tank be relocated if my operation changes?
Yes. F.E.S. tanks are designed to be flexible and relocatable. Our larger GRANDE tanks use international ISO container footprints, making them easier to transport and reposition if your depot, contracts or operating requirements change.
Can we track fuel usage by vehicle and driver?
Yes. F.E.S. can integrate fuel management systems that track how much fuel is dispensed, which vehicle receives it and which driver or operator accessed the system. For larger fleets, this gives you much better visibility over fuel usage and can help automate reporting and identify unusual consumption.
What happens if there’s an issue or damage to the fuel storage tank?
Contact F.E.S. or your local distributor and the issue can be assessed so the appropriate next step can be determined. F.E.S. tanks are also backed by a 10-year structural warranty and a 2-year paint warranty for added peace of mind.
How long will delivery and installation take?
Timing depends on the tank size, fit-out, location and complexity of the fuel management system required. F.E.S. maintains a strong stock holding through distributors across Australia, and our aboveground design-and-drop approach helps reduce installation time. Once we understand your requirements, we can provide a clearer delivery and installation timeframe.
Does F.E.S. supply the fuel as well as the tank?
No. F.E.S. supplies the fuel storage, pumping, dispensing and fuel management infrastructure. Your diesel or other fuel is purchased separately through your preferred wholesaler or supplier, allowing your business to negotiate its own bulk fuel pricing.
What maintenance is required to protect the fuel and my machinery?
Stored diesel should be checked regularly for water, contamination and diesel bug, as poor-quality fuel can damage filters, pumps, injectors and other engine components. F.E.S. can provide water-finding paste, biocide, filtration and fuel management solutions to help protect fuel quality and keep your fleet operating reliably.
